Progress Update - February 2024
We’re quickly approaching the one-year anniversary of our Renewal Campaign to expand capacity for our growing Vintage family, local community and mission to LA.
Our ‘Time of Renewal’ will:
Renovate our vacant building into a Ministry Training Center
Double our ministry capacity creating an upgraded Family Ministry space
Update the Sanctuary with structural and infrastructural improvements
We are so grateful to you for being a core member of this family, for serving faithfully, and for sharing your heart and resources for renewal so generously. We are blessed to have you so engaged and invested in helping us transform and serve our family and city.
We've experienced significant church growth since the renewal campaign launched. Our need to expand capacity is even more vital now than it was then! Every dollar pledged and donated will be used to complete the work ahead.

Construction Update
We’ve been hard at work, laying the foundations and preparing for the next stage of this project.
To date, we have:
November 2023: Completed the design with our Architect, Anthony Poon for the 1019 building (former preschool).
December 2023: Submitted the design to the City of Santa Monica for approval and permitting. We have received their first round of feedback and anticipating 1-2 more rounds.
January 2024: Confirmed the options for our power supply with Southern California Edison on how to bring enough power to the 1019 building as well as the campus at large. We are also exploring Solar Power opportunities.
February 2024: Sent the building project out for bidding with four local General Contractors.
Looking ahead, we will:
Specify the Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment (FF&E) needs for the 1019 building.
Commission Interior Designers to conceptualize updates to our Sanctuary.
Define upgrades to our Sanctuary sound, light and video equipment to enhance the experience for both in-person and online services.
Reconfigure current administrative offices to make more room for our growing VKids, VYouth and Alpha ministries.
Praise points:
49 out of 429 pledges are 100% fulfilled.
$2.58m donations from pledges.
$204k donations received in addition to pledges.
$2.79m total renewal donations.
Over 600 people have either pledged or donated – this represents a significant proportion of our Vintage Family coming together.
Up to 1700 attendees at Sunday services.
Prayer points:
Wisdom as we plan the next stage of our campaign. Including ensuring sufficient electricity supply without affecting the project timeline!
Guidance as we meet with interior designers about the Sanctuary.
Provision of increased resource and capacity in this season of growth!
Progress towards our pledge (40% of pledgers have yet to donate).
