LOVE LA
This Christmas
We have ongoing relationships with the Love LA partners, supporting many of them for a number of years through volunteering and giving of resources. We are excited to support them in their Christmas giving efforts this year! Visit the Giving Tree table on the sidewalk in between services on Sundays from November 17, and collect a gift tag to join in the giving.

Advent volunteering opportunities with our Love LA mission partners are also available.
We’re in this together.
We partner with some wonderful local organizations who work to meet some of the greatest needs of Los Angeles. Vintage sends teams of volunteers, led by a Vintage host, to serve our partners at various events. By volunteering together as a church, community is built and, most importantly, some of the most vulnerable in our city are served with the love of Christ.
Loving mission is a core value at Vintage. Join us as we express God’s love in tangible and practical ways to our community and beyond.
Radical Hospitality:
Serving Vulnerable Children and Families in LA
Join us for an inspiring evening to hear from our Love LA partners about the biblical and LA context for supporting vulnerable children and families. Hear about the challenges they face, and all the ways you can get involved and make a difference (both big and small!). From baking cookies and babysitting, through to foster and adoption, find out how you can play your part.
NOVEMBER 14, 7-8.30PM
Mission Partners
You can volunteer as part of a Vintage team (serving with other members of the Vintage community, led by a Vintage team leader) or if you want to invest with a higher level of commitment, there are many ways to get involved individually by offering your unique skills and talents.
The Salvation Army is devoted to “Loving LA” through a holistic response to the homelessness crisis in our city. They do this by providing for immediate needs like food and clothing while also providing casework and advocacy around longer-term needs, including stable housing, rehabilitation, and physical and mental health.
We run the Love LA outreach dinners in partnership with The Salvation Army every Thursday night, collect and organize hygiene kits and donations year-round, and also host clothing and gift drives during the year to support the Salvation Army's transformative work.

Outreach Dinner Wishlist
Every Thursday night, a group of Vintage volunteers provides a welcoming space to love our neighbors experiencing homelessness in Santa Monica. We prepare and serve over 150 nutritious hot meals while offering a space for prayer and conversation, art, advocacy, clothing and hygiene kits. Our desire is to reflect Jesus's love while being responsive to practical needs.
Join the Vintage team as we join our partner, the Compton Initiative, to serve the city of Compton by bringing hope and restoration through quarterly serve days! We will join with others from churches and organizations across LA to work on clean-up and beautification projects, including painting a local school or church, murals, nearby homes and parks.
This is a great way to build community with others at the church, while serving our neighbors in Compton.
Claris Health provides medical, mental health, and support services that equip and care for individuals and their families, before, during, and after pregnancy and sexual-health choices.
We organize teams of volunteers to offer support at various events as needed, and advertise specific volunteer gaps for the organization throughout the year! We also bless the moms supported by Claris by giving gifts and resources during the advent season. Click here to explore individual volunteer opportunities!
Parenting Support
Claris Health is looking for 6 committed volunteer advocates to work one-on-one with a mom in our court-mandated parenting program.
Commitment:
1 hour/week
Advocates will meet with a mom for 10-12 weeks
Training:
Advocates will undergo a 2.5-hour online training and be matched with a mom in our program to help move her from a place of crisis to a place of stability so that she is empowered to keep her family together.
All sessions can be held virtually. Ideally we are looking for advocates who can commit to the program for one year.
Harvest Home transforms the lives of homeless pregnant women and their children by providing housing, support, and programs that equip women to become great mothers.
We partner with Harvest Home by offering practical help at serve days, donation sorting events and host alumni parties at Vintage. We are involved in gift giving and drives for resources that are needed.
Serve Individually: There are opportunities to provide meals for residents, facilitate bible studies, flip a room for new moms, donate to a wishlist, admin support and more to find out more about current opportunities, email Alex at afirestone@harvesthomela.org

Vintage Foster + Adoption Group
2nd Sundays in the Upper Room
11:45AM - 12:30PM
Every child deserves a safe and loving family, but over 30,000 children in LA either don’t have parents that can take care of them, or parents that can only do so if they’re given additional support.
We partner with a number of organizations across LA who offer holistic approaches to this crisis, as well as opportunities for the Vintage community to be a part of the solution!
This group is for anyone who wants to learn more about foster care, adoption, supporting vulnerable families in LA and other ways to get involved!
Build community, pray, and learn more!
Mission Partner Suggestion
Every June we pray and consider any other potential organizations for partnership and so we invite our church to suggest any organizations for our prayer and consideration.
