Jeff Han

Ministry Director

Jeff grew up on the Eastside of LA before moving to the UK to plant Reality Church London as part of the team. He has paralleled ministry roles around his marketplace work – launching and scaling businesses and leading and building teams.

Jeff was introduced to Theology (a key passion) by his pastor at the young age of 14, who spotted a keen interest for deep matters of faith. He then went on to study Theology at the University of Oxford, under some of the great theologians of our time, including NT Wright. A few years later, Jeff moved to St Peter’s Brighton (an HTB church plant) where he and his wife worked as lay leaders, as the church went through a transition of leadership.

Jeff moved back to LA with his wife and daughter in 2024. He has a passion to see people experience the depth and redeeming power of God in their everyday lives and for the Vintage community to walk in the beauty of God’s family. He’s excited to be able to dedicate his time to full time ministry.

Q&R with Jeff:

What is your favorite leisure activity?

Golf!

You recently moved from the UK and your belongings got stuck at a UK port. What possession did you miss most?

My golf clubs (and bed).

Have you heard the joke, that men only play golf because they don’t want to ask each other to meet up?

I don’t want to say this is true … but maybe I am intimidated by some guys, and asking them to play golf is a lot easier…

What would people be surprised to know about you?

  • I once won a Ted Lasso award at my last place of work (hopefully not because I was the only American!). Mainly due to my epic mustache – and the dogmatic belief that so much of what we do comes down to believing in the vision we’re trying to achieve.

  • I’m not angry when I’m listening, I just have a very serious concentrating face!

  • My first job was as a bus boy at my aunt’s restaurant. My last was working in Product Development for an educational technology company.

What is your favorite British Food?

Gregg’s Sausage Roll (for any Brits reading this, please don’t be mad!)

As you have lived in both the UK and LA, is Vintage your true cultural home?

There were some very funny cultural faux-paux being in the UK and being from the US. This was highlighted when someone asked me: “how’re you doing, are you alright?” (Which is just a casual greeting in the UK) but I gave my life story!

What is a key discipleship insight you would like to share?

That the journey of discipleship is one in which we may finally become ourselves. And that journey is quite often, one of the most difficult and the most beautiful things we will do in our lives.

Do you have a favorite scripture, or one you return to often?

It’s hard to say a favorite but one that has returned to me over the last few years: Romans 8:28. “For all things work together for the good of those who love him”. Nothing in the economy of God is wasted.
