Line Manager: Director of Finance & HR
Location: Santa Monica
Payroll Status: Full Time (40+ hours/week)
Work week: Monday-Friday
Pay Range: $65k - $70k annually
Primary Purpose of the Position
The Finance & HR Manager will bring their proven financial and human resources experience to Vintage Church as a key member of the operations team, supporting all of the Vintage Church locations, (of which there are currently two: Santa Monica and South Bay) with day to day finance and HR support. The Finance & HR Manager must have the accounting knowledge necessary to step into the role successfully on day one.
Key Responsibilities
Finance: Management of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes, prep for month-end close, reporting, staff support, donor communication, assist with annual budgeting and mid-year budget revisions.
Human Resources: Management of payroll system, staff support, administration of on-boarding, off-boarding processes and compliance trainings
As a staff member of Vintage Church, the overarching purpose of your role is to serve the mission of the church. As such, you may be assigned tasks and responsibilities from time to time which are outside of the scope of the job description.

Requirements & Experience
With a staff of nearly 40 employees and interns, this position requires a high level knowledge of accounting principles, financial processes and human resource management. The person in this role must be a self-starter able to maintain high levels of focus, multi-task effectively, manage many details accurately and in a timely manner. The ability to maintain privacy and confidential information is essential. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are also essential.
You should have:
A maturing relationship with Jesus
Excitement about the vision and mission of Vintage Church
Must uphold the code of ethics and Christian values of Vintage Church
5+ years experience in an accounting role, preferably in a large church
Strong working knowledge of Quickbooks Online, Excel, BILL, Pex, Paycom, Google Workspace
Understanding of or ability to quickly learn Planning Center Online
Excellent ability to multitask online across multiple apps at the same time, in a Mac OS and Google Workspace environment.
High level administrative gifting with ability to multi-task and adapt quickly
Professional decorum and maturity, including discretion and the ability to handle confidential and private information
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to coordinate multiple tasks at once, pay attention to details, adjust to changing priorities and meet deadlines within a fast-paced environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
A team player mentality with a strong work ethic and ability to take direction and show initiative

Pay Range
$65k to $75k annually
